Assistant/Associate/Full Professor of Movement for the Actor The University of North Carolina School of the Arts, School of
Drama, seeks a highly experienced movement teacher to design and
implement a 3-year movement sequence for actors in its nationally
ranked BFA program. This is an opportunity for a highly experienced
teacher to combine a variety of movement disciplines into their own
unique and cohesive curriculum. The ideal candidate's background
would include mask work, both neutral and character, clowning and
circus skills, and might also include experience with Viewpoints,
Suzuki, Grotowski, or any number of other established movement
pedagogies. Experience with non-Western performance forms is also
highly desirable. This individual will also play a substantial role
in helping the school implement a new devised theater curriculum.
MFA or equivalent professional experience preferred.
Having recently installed a new dean, the UNCSA School of Drama
is in an exciting period of examination and growth as it looks to

curricular offerings in cultural entrepreneurship and devised
